Why made in the UK matters

Buying products made in the UK supports British jobs, means production held to UK standards, and cuts the miles a product travels. It also means accountability — a maker you can actually reach. We make our colloidal silver here in the UK.

This guide covers why made in the UK matters: what it means for jobs, standards and footprint, and why designed in the UK is not quite the same thing.

“Made in the UK” is a phrase you see everywhere, and it is worth knowing what it actually buys you.

Here is why it matters — to you, and to us. For the wider picture, see our natural living guide.

Why buy products made in the UK?

Buying British supports UK jobs, comes with production held to UK standards, and cuts the distance a product travels.

  • Jobs and economy — your money stays closer to home and supports UK work.
  • Standards — UK production is held to strict, consistent rules.
  • Lower footprint — far fewer transport miles to reach you.
  • Accountability — a real maker you can actually contact.

Are British-made products better quality?

Often, yes — UK manufacturing is held to strict standards, and “Made in Britain” has become a recognised quality mark.

It is a strong signal rather than an automatic guarantee, but it does mean a product was made under rules you can rely on.

UK-made colloidal silver, from £16.95

Most colloidal silver uses water purified once, if at all. We use two stages — reverse osmosis, then distillation — then bottle in dark glass. 10, 100 and 200 ppm, in dropper, spray or 500ml refill.

Does “Made in the UK” always mean made in the UK?

Not always — it is worth reading the exact wording.

“Designed in the UK” or “packed in the UK” is not the same as “made in the UK”. The honest phrase is the one that says the product itself was made here.

Is buying British better for the environment?

Generally, yes. A product made here travels far fewer miles to reach you.

Fewer miles means a smaller carbon footprint than something shipped halfway around the world, which is one more reason we keep our production at home.

Why does made in the UK matter to us?

Because we make our colloidal silver here in the UK, from start to finish, and bottle it ourselves in dark glass.

Making it ourselves keeps us close to our own quality, and lets us stand behind every bottle. It is sold for external use only, and we make no health claims for it.

Why buy from Health is a Choice

We make our colloidal silver in the UK, the way we would want it for our own family. We don’t purify our water once — we do it twice.

It is first cleaned by reverse osmosis, then distilled on top of that, before we suspend real silver in it and bottle it in dark glass — never plastic.
